Pleasurekraft is an electronic music project created in 2009 by producers Kaveh Soroush and Kalle Ronngardh. Developed through a transatlantic partnership between Washington, D.C. and Stockholm, the project combines techno, tech house and melodic electronic music with influences drawn from science, philosophy and astronomy.

Pleasurekraft achieved an international breakthrough with Tarantula. Released in 2010, the track became a defining underground club record and was named Top Track of the Year at the 2011 Beatport Awards. Its hypnotic vocal, rolling groove and instantly recognisable arrangement established the project worldwide.

The artists subsequently developed a heavier and more atmospheric sound they describe as “cosmic techno”. This approach combines forceful club production with cinematic melodies and themes exploring humanity, technology and the universe.

Pleasurekraft’s catalogue includes Carny, Coltrane, Sinister Strings, The Most Dangerous Game, G.O.D., Rigel and The Day the Earth Stood Still. The project has released music through labels including Drumcode, Suara, Great Stuff and its own Kraftek imprint.

The debut album Friends, Lovers & Other Constellations arrived in 2018, followed by Love in the Age of Machines in 2020. Both albums expanded the project beyond conventional club music by combining techno with cinematic arrangements, spoken-word performances and philosophical themes.

Through its productions, international performances and Kraftek label, Pleasurekraft has developed a distinctive identity connecting physical dance-floor energy with deeper conceptual ideas.
