Release Notes: The EP features two brand new tracks, as well as two remixes of songs from the album. The classic Jagz Kooner reworking of ‘Regresar / Recordar’ finally makes its vinyl debut, and there’s a stunning version of ‘Control’ by Swedish producer Mythologen, who has previously remixed the likes of I Break Horses and whose debut album Eurovision was one of last year’s finest. “Those are the kind of sounds that inspired the album, that same mood,” explains one half of the band, Alberto González. “Our DJ nights inspired the album and now, lowkey, we've been playing these remixes in our DJ sets. Full circle.” The two new tracks continue the themes of the album, with the single ‘Progreso’ building from duelling synths to a drum-led crescendo, while the “dystopian bar rock” of ‘Producción = Destrucción’ goes for sheer Sonic Youth noise assault. “These two tracks are similar in the sense that they feel like glimpses of specific moments, a bit more fragmented, almost as if they carry less of a narrative arc,” explains the other half of the duo, Lorena Quintanilla.
